Frustrated with cold calls, invigorated following an AHR expo, and with plenty of time to think on their 3.5 hour drive home, the idea of Antrum started with a conversation between a few facilities engineers.
There Has to Be a Better Way
From fielding phone calls to investigating potential issues, the team spent countless hours trying to ensure occupant comfort while also conserving energy. The problem was: Occupancy-based ventilation over-ventilates, resulting in energy waste, and space or duct mounted CO2 sensors present constant maintenance and calibration challenges.
Building a Better Mousetrap
Consolidating and centralizing the sensors eliminated the maintenance and calibration issue. Now all they had to do was figure out how to get the air in the room back to the sensor.
AntrumX™ Was Born
What began as a more sustainable demand control ventilation solution developed into a real-time continuous indoor air quality monitoring solution. The patented technology is now monitoring the IAQ of over 900 rooms and 600,000 square feet.
